Product Overview

The O-ring is the most common type of seal used in a wide range of static or dynamic applications. O-rings are seated in a groove and compressed between two or more parts thus creating a seal at the interface. The O-ring is generally made of rubber, due to which it returns to its original shape upon compression. This O-ring is made of silicone rubber. Silicone compounds are widely used in food and medical applications because they are very clean and odorless or tasteless. These O-rings have outstanding flex and fatigue life. They also have good insulating properties and tend to be physiological. It is not recommended to use with ketones, acids, silicone oils and brake fluids. The O-ring is used for sealing and to prevent the leakage of fuel or gas. It is made up of silicone rubber are commonly used in Breathing Circuit Gas (BCG) service due to its excellent flexibility. A common cause of liquid or vapor leakage is the an absence of or damaged O-ring.

Return And Exchange

GE HealthCare will accept, for return from customer, items that are in new condition, unworn, unaltered and free of damage. Items cannot be returned or exchanged beyond 30 days from customer’s receipt of the original order and all returned items will be subject to a 15% restocking fee. To obtain a full refund or exchange of the item within the 30 day return period (subject to the 15% restocking fee) customer must request a return materials authorization (RMA) from GE HealthCare and return the item to GE HealthCare utilizing this RMA number. Items must be returned in the original packaging, unused and free of damage.

Please note, cuffs, BP items, sterile and hazmat items cannot be returned. If a replacement order is requested, the restocking fee may be waived at GE HealthCare’s sole discretion.
