Product Overview

The Plunger for Water Trap is a provided component of the exhalation valve assembly of the airway modules in an anesthesia device while monitoring respiratory parameters of the patients. The exhalation assembly consists of a diaphragm, seal, housing, flow transducer, O-rings, spring and water trap along with plunger. The plunger consists of a sealing groove on the top (head part) so that it can be placed in the housing with the help of an O-ring. The spring is placed over around the body of the plunger below the O-ring groove. When the Breathing Circuit Gas (BCG) circuit is in exhalation phase, the exhaled gases from patient are to be scavenged by means of exhalation valve. The gases push the diaphragm and pass through seal into the housing. The plunger thrusts the gases towards the water trap by means of the spring which can be emptied or replaced.
