The XDCR Neonatal Flow Sensor 0-30 L/Min is a sensor that is an optional accessory for the Engstrom Carestation and Engstrom Pro to measure proximal gas flow and volume. It also serves as feedback to the volume control in Engstrom. The sensor is exposed to inhaled and exhaled patient gases like oxygen, carbon dioxide and nitrogen. Its accuracy is ± 4% of the volume reading, while the gas flows through the sensor in the positive flow direction, at multiple flow rates to stimulate a volume of approximately 200 ml and integrating that flow over the volume period. Leaks should be less than 10 SmlPM at a pressure of 100 cm H₂O air. The leak will be measured with the cable connector having a side load 90° to the connector face.
