Product Overview
This Optical Switch cable harness assembly is a part of the positioning mechanism of the DLS table assembly which are used with the GE's Discovery ST, Discovery ST (4 Slice), Discovery ST (8 Slice), Discovery ST (16 Slice) PET/CT Systems. The cable assembly comprises of a slotted optical switch at one end which is interfaced to a 15 position D-Sub connector at the other end. The optical switch housing comes with side mountings and is made from an opaque grade of injection-molded plastic that minimizes the assembly’s sensitivity to visible and near-infrared ambient radiation. This optical switch acts as a phototransistor in which switching occurs whenever an opaque object passes through the slot and interrupts the Infrared beam. The 15 position D-sub connector is connected with the optical switch using high quality 24 AWG and 18 AWG red, black, green and white wires. The cable assembly is protected with proper insulation and heat shrink tubes. The cable assembly comes with pre-labeled informations for easy identification.
