Product Overview
The Roentgen Absorbed Dose Curtain Block is used in radiographic systems, which are used to for imaging method diagnosis using X-rays. The systems work on the principle where high velocity electrons, when interacted with patient’s body, their kinetic energy is converted into electromagnetic radiation which are captured and properties are measured by a detector. The quantity of the radiation absorbed by the body is defined as the absorbed dose. A curtain is used to protect the patient from excess absorbed dose since high radiation might harm the patient. The curtain blocks are used to hold the curtains. The Roentgen Absorbed Dose (RAD) Curtain Block assembly contains a block, spring pins and a screw nut. The pin is inserted into the hole of block by means of the screw nut. It is made of acetal which has good wear resistance enabling the usage of block in varying environments and temperatures. The self-retaining spring pin holds the curtain to the block.
