Product Overview

The Hamamatsu Photomultiplier Tube (PMT) 1.5 Class 4 Type 2060 is used in molecular imaging and nuclear medicine systems and other demanding applications. The photomultiplier tube is an electronic device converting photons to current, which is comprised of Printed Circuit Board (PCB), pre amplifier, print base, photomultiplier cover base, Hamamatsu test tube, envelope and nylon bag. Hamamatsu R980, 2060 photomultiplier tubes are intended for the counting of radioactive materials releasing low energy particles when used in conjunction with suitable scintillators. The R980 has a permanent base, while the 2060 has a temporary base. They are equivalent to RCA 6199 and 2060 respectively. If R980 photomultiplier tube is used at temperatures less than -80° C, the tube may be damaged due to the difference in temperature coefficients between the glass envelope and base. It has been packed with an envelope and shipping label, containing relevant information about the product, a label with the shipment details. It is widely used in medical equipment, analytical instruments and industrial measurement systems.
