Product Overview

The M4 x 0.7 BHS M/S with DIN127B and Flat Washer is a washer that is a thin plate with a hole that is normally used to distribute the load of a threaded fastener. It is designed to evenly distribute the pressure of a nut or bolt over a surface. It is used to protect the surface from damage by offering space between the surface and fastener. Washers are used to securely fasten a nut or bolt to a surface and to prevent loosening under vibratory environments. Flat washers are round outer diameter thin plates with a center hole punched to the size of the bolt or screw. They are used to distribute loads of threaded bolts, screws and nuts evenly as the fastener is tightened. The flat washer is made of stainless steel which has excellent resistance to chemicals and salt water. This may act as a mildly magnetic washer which also prevents the fasteners from corrosion. The flat washers surface has a good finish, so it can get some friction from the surface it is getting fastened. This part is widely used in many applications and machines.
