Product Overview
The Base Casting - Permanent Cast is used in cart assembly that is part of the respiratory care system. It is mounted on the caster wheels, and these caster wheels balance the entire unit. It is made up of a 319 aluminum alloy, which is a 6% Si and 3.5% Cu alloy with maximum of 1.0% Fe. It has excellent casting and machining characteristics. The mechanical properties are good in both heat-treated (T5) and non-heat treated conditions. The 319-type alloys are used for castings of complicated shapes with different wall thicknesses. Most commonly, they are used for castings that are moderately highly stressed. Despite their specification, the usage of the secondary alloys for the production of automotive castings has a great perspective in the consideration of the most effective efforts to reduce prices of castings. The base casting is non-hexavalent chromium chemical conversion powder coated with a fine texture finish, it is protected against corrosion where low electrical resistance is required. This base casting Engstrom cart is being used in CARESCAPE™ R860, Engstrom, Engstrom Pro, Engstrom Carestation and many other respiratory care systems.

Return And Exchange
GE HealthCare will accept, for return from customer, items that are in new condition, unworn, unaltered and free of damage. Items cannot be returned or exchanged beyond 30 days from customer’s receipt of the original order and all returned items will be subject to a 15% restocking fee. To obtain a full refund or exchange of the item within the 30 day return period (subject to the 15% restocking fee) customer must request a return materials authorization (RMA) from GE HealthCare and return the item to GE HealthCare utilizing this RMA number. Items must be returned in the original packaging, unused and free of damage.
Please note, cuffs, BP items, sterile and hazmat items cannot be returned. If a replacement order is requested, the restocking fee may be waived at GE HealthCare’s sole discretion.
