Product Overview
Exhalation valve assembly is used to allow minimum leakage of air during inhalation and provide low resistance during exhalation. The valve should be free from foreign material and cover must be attached properly. The exhalation valve assembly consists of exhalation valve cover, diaphragm assembly, O-ring, seat exhalation valve assembly, retainer disk and base. The exhalation valve contains an elastomeric diaphragm that is used along with the flow valve to control the pressures in the breathing circuit. The diaphragm with pressure disks on both sides is the only movable part in the complete assembly. The assembly has 2 ports at the bottom, three ports on the top and 1 port at the back. It normally opens, but needs 2cm H2O of pilot pressure to close the valve. The assembly parts to be clean and free from debris. The retainer disk and O-rings are to be fitted properly.
