Product Overview
The Filter Bowl consists of an O-ring, drain valve, bowl and bowl threads. The main purpose of the filter is to stop dust from entering into the system. The O-ring is made up of a Viton material. It is one of the most widely used O-ring elastomer compounds and is known for having excellent resistance to petroleum oils, mineral oils, vegetable oils, abrasion, many acids and water. The drain valve is made up of brass metal and offers a combination of properties such as high strength, hardness, corrosion resistance and wear resistance. Polycarbonate is an excellent plastic for display filters. It provides high impact resistance combined with an excellent flammability rating. In terms of clarity, polycarbonate is comparable to glass, but being a much lighter substrate polycarbonate, it is more suitable for applications where weight is an important consideration. This coating provides a high level of chemical resistance while eliminating the risk of scratching through general handling of the product. This component is used in CARESCAPE™ R380, Engstrom and Engstrom Pro machines where it is present in inlet manifold of these machines.
